Such intermediate annealing may be performed several times in order to obtain the desired thin strip. The rolling between two intermediate anneals is cold-rolled coil sc1 annealing. The annealing of cold-rolled strip is carried out in a continuous annealing furnace or a bell-type annealing furnace with protective gas (see annealing of cold-rolled coil sc1 annealing cold-rolled strip).
