Compared with hot-rolled strip (see hot-rolled wide-band steel production process, hot-rolled narrow-strip production), the rolling process of cold-rolled strip (see cold-rolled strip production) has the following characteristics:

(1) Use process lubrication and cooling to reduce deformation resistance and cooling rolls during rolling;

(2) High tension rolling is adopted to reduce the deformation resistance and maintain the stability of the rolling process. The average unit tension value used is 10% to 60% of the yield strength of the material, generally not more than 50%;
