The most frequently followed European standards for producing cold-rolled coils are EN 10130, EN 10268 and EN 10209.
EN 10130 is applied to cold-rolled coils made of the low-carbon DC01, DC03, DC04, DC05, DC06 and DC07 steel grades for cold forming without coating, with a minimum width of 600 mm and a minimum thickness of 0.35 mm.

Though cold-rolled-stainless-steel-coil-1cr18ni9si3 is most often used on steel, many alloys and metals can be cold rolled to change their crystalline makeup. When they are rolled at temperatures below their re-crystallization point, permanent defects are caused. These defects reduce the crystals' abilities to move within the structure of the metal, improving both the metal's tensile strength and hardness.
