Hastelloy C-4 Features and Applications Overview: The alloy is an austenitic low-carbon nickel-molybdenum-chromium alloy. The main difference between Nicrofer 6616 hMo and other alloys of similar chemical composition developed earlier is low carbon, silicon, iron and tungsten. This chemical composition provides excellent stability at 650-1040 ° C and improved resistance to intergranular corrosion, avoiding edge line corrosion susceptibility and weld HAZ corrosion under appropriate manufacturing conditions. Alloy used in flue gas desulfurization systems, pickling and acid regeneration plant, acetic acid and agricultural chemicals production, titanium dioxide production (chloride method), electrolytic plating.
