UNS S40900 Stainless Steel Bar is a titanium stabilised ferritic stainless steel, most commonly used in automotive exhaust systems, which has good mechanical properties and high temperature corrosion resistance. UNS S40900 Stainless Steel Bar has better resistance to high temperature oxidation than soft steel (mild steel), it has an intermittent high temperature service temperature of 815 degrees Celsius and a continuous service temperature of 675 degrees Celsius and is not suitable for use in overly harsh environments.
