05Cr17 stainless steel coil is a ferritic, non-hardenable stainless steel grade. It contains only chromium, 16% to 18%, which is a ferritic steel, and contains very small amounts of nickel, manganese, sulfur, phosphorus and silicon. This is the reason why 05Cr17 stainless steel coil is called a pure chromium alloy. 05Cr17 stainless steel coil's welding procedures begin with its preheating process. The preheating temperature should be kept between 150 - 200°C. 05Cr17 stainless steel coil is suitable for the manufacture of formed/stretched parts, mining handling equipment, industrial roof and wall cladding and other heat resistant components.
