Product Description
Alloy 405 is a 12% chromium stainless steel designed to be used in the as-welded condition. Unlike the other grades of 12% chromium stainless, 405 is not vulnerable to extensive hardening through air cooling from high temperatures.
405 stainless steel is a composite steel that does not harden significantly when cooled from high temperatures.
405 is equivalent to China's 0Cr13Al stainless steel, cooling from high temperature does not produce significant hardening.
