Type 410HT stainless steel is martensitic steel with low chromium content.

410HT can be readily welded using the most commonly known standard methods.

Due to its low chromium content, type 410HT is resistant to corrosion in mild atmospheres, steam, and mild chemical environments.

410HT can be hot worked, cold-formed, and annealed, making it general-purpose stainless steel.

When welded, it is recommended to preheat the part at 350-400oF, to reduce the risk of cracking.
