It has a minimum yield strength of 790 MPa when hardened at 593 Celsius. It is subject to brittle fractures.
17-4ph h900 clad plate uses temperature at 900 Fahrenheit for 4 hours to harden the element. However, thermal cutting operations should be avoided for this, instead, mechanical cutting operations are to be used.
