1. Why Galvalume?
Galvalume plates carry a 55%Al-43.4%Zn-1.6%Si coating (AZ per ASTM A792/EN 10346). The aluminium-rich coating provides excellent heat and oxidation resistance plus high reflectivity, while the zinc content retains some sacrificial protection - superior to pure zinc in high-temperature and coastal environments.

5. Cut-Edge Note
Unlike pure zinc, the AZ coating gives little sacrificial protection at cut edges - treat edges with zinc-rich paint in harsh or coastal environments; select the coating mass (e.g. AZ150) per exposure and confirm on the MTC.
