Cold Rolled Steel
Cold-rolled sheet grades include SPCC, SPHC, DC01, DC02, and DC03, each with varying mechanical properties and corrosion resistance.
1. Classification of Cold-Rolled Sheet Materials
Cold-rolled sheet is processed by further pressing hot-rolled coil into thinner sheets. According to international ISO standards, common cold-rolled sheet materials can be divided into two categories: SPCC and SPHC, and grades DC01, DC02, and DC03.
2. SPCC and SPHC Materials
SPCC and SPHC are grades specified in the Japanese JIS standard, and their specific mechanical properties and chemical composition conform to this standard. SPCC is a cold-rolled low-carbon steel primarily used for automotive parts such as body panels, door panels, and hoods. SPHC is a hot-rolled steel primarily used to manufacture simpler structural parts such as machinable covers, base plates, lightweight flanges, and bearing strips.
3. DC01, DC02, and DC03 Materials
DC01, DC02, and DC03 refer to the DIN 1623-1 standard, which covers German regulations for cold-rolled steel sheets. These are also cold-rolled low-carbon steel sheets. These materials offer excellent corrosion resistance and are widely used in construction and electrical engineering, as well as in the manufacture of machinery and components.
4. Characteristics of Different Material Grades
SPCC, SPHC, and DC01, DC02, and DC03 cold-rolled steel grades offer excellent mechanical properties and corrosion resistance. Compared to SPCC and SPHC, DC01, DC02, and DC03 cold-rolled steel grades offer higher mechanical properties and strength. Furthermore, cold-rolled steel offers other advantages, such as a smooth surface, uniform thickness, and precise dimensions. Consequently, they are widely used in furniture, home appliances, railways, and other fields.
