Galvalume steel coils

Galvalume steel coils are constructed from cold-rolled steel sheets coated with an aluminum-zinc alloy via a hot-dip coating process. The typical coating composition is 55% aluminum, 43.4% zinc, and 1.6% silicon. The addition of silicon improves the adhesion of the coating to the steel substrate and prevents flaking. Galvalume steel coils typically have a coating thickness between 10 and 30 microns, depending on the application.
