What is the difference between Cold Rolled Coil and Galvanized Steel Coil?

Cold rolled,is different from hot rolled coils. It refers to a steel strip that is directly rolled into a certain thickness with a roll at room temperature and wound into a whole coil with a winder.
The cold rolled steel coil is the one made by cold rolled machine, and people call it as chill coils. Practically, the steel coils which are made and processed by cold rolling are called cold rolled steel coils.
Galvanized Steel Coil
The cold rolled steel coils are the materials of the galvanized steel coils. And then it is processed by the alkaline wash, anneal, galvanization and unknit. Sometimes, people call it as cold rolling galvanized steel coil.
The galvanized steel coil is shorted as GI. The different galvanized process modes make their surfaces’ situations to be different, such as the common spangles, the big spangles, small spangles and zero spangles,together with the phosphorization treatment on surfaces. The thick zinc layers make the anticorrosive ability to be perfect. So it suits the outdoor environment.
