DX51D Galvanized Steel Coil
1. Know the coating weight (Z value)
Environment determines demand: Z180, Z200, Z275 are preferred for harsh environments such as outdoor, high humidity, industrial or coastal areas (such as roofs and exterior walls). Z100 and Z140 can be considered for indoor dry environments or short-term protection applications (such as home appliance inner panels and some brackets). Don't sacrifice long-term protection for small cost savings!
2. Accurately select the surface type
Normal zinc spangle (N): Classic appearance, economical and suitable for most structural parts and internal parts.
Small zinc spangle (M): More delicate appearance, a compromise option.
No zinc spangle/finished surface (A): The surface is the smoothest and most uniform, and is ideal for subsequent spraying, baking or high appearance requirements (such as high-end home appliance panels and conspicuous architectural parts). The finishing process also improves the flatness and yield strength of the material.
3. Pay attention to surface treatment
Passivation (C): Highly recommended for most situations, especially for inventory or subsequent painting. Effectively prevent "white rust" (moisture corrosion during transportation and storage) and significantly improve paint adhesion.
Oiling (O): Provides short-term rust protection, but may affect welding or painting and requires subsequent cleaning.
Passivation + oiling (CO): Provides double short-term protection, suitable for long-distance transportation or special storage conditions.
4. Strictly control substrate thickness and tolerance
Be sure to accurately specify the thickness (such as 0.5mm, 1.0mm, 2.0mm) according to the design strength and processing requirements.
Understand and confirm the thickness tolerance standard provided by the supplier (usually in accordance with EN 10143), which is crucial for precision processing such as stamping and forming.
5. Confirm width and slitting requirements
Determine the most economical mother roll width based on the final product size, or directly order the required slitting width to reduce secondary processing waste.
6. Trust the professional capabilities of the supplier
Professional services: Choose a supplier that can provide professional material selection advice, technical consultation, flexible slitting processing, and reliable logistics distribution.
Quality Proof: A Material Certificate (MTC) is required, clearly listing brand, specification, standard, mechanical properties, coating weight, surface treatment and other information to ensure traceability.
