What Is DX51D Steel?
DX51D is a commonly used cold-rolled structural steel grade specified in EN 10346, mainly designed for continuous hot-dip galvanizing. The base steel DX51D provides excellent forming performance, while the zinc coating enhances corrosion resistance and service life.
Galvanized steel refers to carbon steel coated with a layer of zinc, which acts as a protective barrier and sacrificial anode, preventing rust formation even when the surface is scratched.
Z275 means the total zinc coating mass is 275 g/m² (both sides), providing strong protection in harsh environments such as outdoor construction, humid regions, and coastal areas.
