What is Prepainted Steel?
Prepainted Steel is a unique process where steel or aluminum strip in coil form, is cleaned, pre-treated, primed and painted with either inorganic or organic coatings, cured and re-coiled all in one operation.
Pre-paint steel is a corrosion resistant substrate that has had paint applied to both sides through a continuous coil coating process, which produces a uniform paint finish.Produces pre-painted steel sheets and coils coils by directly applying primer and paint on to steel sheet in a coating line. The finished products can easily be roll formed, bent, and stamped without tarnishing the paint quality.

Pre-painted steel material is either a cold rolled, galvanized or tin mill product substrate that is continuously coil coated with an organic- or inorganic-based coating system to protect the steel from corrosion. Factory pre-painting is temperature-controlled and color-resistant and saves time for manufacturers and builders.
The coated surface can have a wide range of colours, gloss levels and surface textures. What dictates the choice of coating is the end use of the finished product.
