S250GD galvanized steel sheet/plate is a low-alloy, high-strength hot-rolled steel, commonly used in construction, automotive, and appliance industries. Its main components include iron and low carbon content, typically between 0.06%-0.12%. The steel sheet/plate is coated with a zinc layer through hot-dip galvanizing, which provides a uniform protective barrier against corrosion.

 

With a tensile strength of 250 MPa, S250GD can handle significant mechanical stress. The zinc layer enhances its durability, making it suitable for outdoor applications and extending product lifespan while minimizing maintenance needs.

Properties

 

S250GD is characterized by a balanced combination of strength, ductility and corrosion resistance. The minimum yield strength Rp0.2 of 250 N/mm² and a tensile strength in the range of 360-510 N/mm² guarantee a reliable load-bearing capacity with sufficient ductility. Thanks to the hot-dip galvanized surface, the steel achieves long-lasting corrosion protection, making it resistant even in aggressive climates and industrial environments.
