Galvanized Coil And Galvalume Coil

Mar 24, 2021

The main difference between galvanizing and Galvalume is that galvalume is a combination of zinc, aluminum, and silicon, while galvanizing is 100% zinc.

Definition of Galvalume steel

Galvalume steel has many excellent characteristics: strong corrosion resistance, which is 3 times that of pure galvanized steel; beautiful spangles on the surface, which can be used as building exterior panels.

Its characteristics are:

--Corrosion resistance: The corrosion resistance of galvanized steel coil is mainly due to the protective function of aluminum and aluminum. When zinc is worn out, aluminum forms a dense layer of aluminum oxide, which prevents corrosion-resistant substances from further corroding the interior

--Heat resistance: Aluminum-zinc alloy steel sheet has good heat resistance and can withstand high temperatures of more than 300 degrees Celsius, which is similar to the high temperature oxidation resistance of aluminum-plated steel sheet

--Heat reflectivity: The heat reflectivity of galvanized steel sheet is very high, which is twice that of galvanized steel sheet , and people often use it as a material for heat insulation

--Economy: Because the density of 55% AL-Zn is lower than that of Zn, under the same weight and the same thickness of the gold plating layer, the area of galvanized steel sheet is more than 3% larger than that of coated steel sheet.

Definition of Galvanized steel

Galvanized steel coils, galvanized refers to the surface treatment technology of plating a layer of zinc on the surface of metal, alloy or other materials to play the role of beauty and rust prevention. The main method currently used is hot-dip galvanizing.

The production process of hot-dip galvanized sheet mainly includes: original board preparation →

pre-plating treatment → hot-dip plating → post-plating treatment → finished product inspection.
