The ISSF (International Iron and Steel Association Stainless Steel Forum) meeting held in Seoul recently predicted that 201 stainless steel strips will not have a serious shortage of raw material supply in certain markets where low-nickel austenitic stainless steel and 200 series stainless steel may replace the 300 series.
However, the corrosion resistance of 200 series stainless steel pipes is not as good as that of 300 series. Therefore, China should carefully formulate stainless steel application specifications.
