The 310 Stainless Steel Coil material can be defined as a chromium nickel austenitic stainless steel which is ideal for high temperature usage. It has a high creep strength and it can resist oxidation for up to the temperature of 1093 degrees C, in dry air. It is resistant to spalling and gives a better performance compared to the Type 309 in the applications that involve thermal cycling. The A240 SS 310 Coil material comes with a good resistance to sulfidation and carburization, especially in the moderately carburizing atmospheres.
