The addition of copper to Stainless Steel 329 gives it corrosion resistant properties superior to the conventional chrome nickel stainless steels, in particular to sulphuric, phosphoric and acetic acids.
The austenitic structure also gives Stainless Steel 329 excellent toughness, even down to cryogenic temperatures.
Base 329 alloys where excellent formability, weldability, strength and corrosion resistance are essential.
