As Stainless Steel Coil EN 1.4306 has a slightly higher chromium content and a significantly higher nickel content, it is more corrosion resistant than 14307. It is significantly more resistant to intergranular corrosion in its sensitised state than 304 and, apart from its slightly lower strength, it has the same properties as 304. Stainless Steel Coil EN 1.4306 can be welded with a variety of common stainless steel welding processes and can be welded without heat treatment.
