1.4835 is the EN numeric designation for this material. 1.4835, often known by its Outokumpu model name of 253MA, is a heat-resistant austenitic stainless steel. It is designed to have comparable warmth resistance to 310 but with greater creep energy because of strengthening with nitrogen.
Aqueous corrosion EN 1.4835 is optimised with regard to corrosion resistance (and energy) at excessive temperatures. The excessive contents of N and C make the metal wise to intergranular corrosion.
