Products Description
Galvalume steel coil is aluminum zinc alloy structurem it is made by 55% aluminum, 43.4% zinc and 1.6% silicon,at 600ºChigh temperature solidification and composition, its whole structure by aluminum-iron-silicon-zin, which our galvalume steel has excellent corrosion resistance. We can also offer the service of cutting and punching. We are very capable to custom make for you.
S320GD Az120 Galvalume Steel Coil is a high-strength structural steel coil with a hot-dip aluminum-zinc (Galvalume/Aluzinc) coating, strictly compliant with the EN 10346:2015 international standard (material number: 1.0250). It integrates excellent structural strength, superior corrosion resistance, and good formability, widely used in medium-to-high load structural applications.
- S320GD: The core substrate grade, where "S" stands for structural steel, "320" indicates a minimum yield strength of 320 MPa, and "GD" denotes it is suitable for hot-dip coating processes. It is a medium-high strength structural steel with stable mechanical properties, meeting the requirements of load-bearing structural components.
- Az120: Refers to the coating specification, meaning the total mass of the aluminum-zinc coating on both sides of the steel coil is 120 g/m² (a common medium coating weight for Galvalume products). This coating weight balances corrosion resistance and cost-effectiveness, suitable for medium-corrosive environments such as urban and general industrial areas.
For galvalume steel, GNEE STEEL have more than 10 production lines, thickness from 0.1-4mm.

Core Advantages
Combines high structural strength (suitable for medium-load structures) and superior corrosion resistance (adapts to harsh environments such as humidity and mild salt spray).
Balances cost and performance: Az120 coating weight is 20% more material-efficient than Az150, while achieving twice the service life of ordinary galvanized steel.
Good processability and versatility, compatible with subsequent processing such as painting (excellent paint adhesion without pre-treatment).
Environmentally friendly: The hot-dip coating process is pollution-free, and the coating material is recyclable, complying with global environmental standards.
Typical Applications
Construction industry: Roofing, wall cladding, purlins, structural framing, gutters, and prefabricated buildings (especially suitable for industrial workshops and coastal buildings).
Manufacturing industry: HVAC components, ventilation ducts, storage racks, and light industrial equipment parts.
Infrastructure: Highway guardrails, noise barriers, and municipal facilities (adapting to long-term outdoor use).

FAQ
1. How long does Galvalume steel last?
In a typical environment, a Galvalume roof or panel can last 40 to 60 years. Most manufacturers offer warranties ranging from 20 to 25 years against perforation.
2. Does Galvalume steel rust?
Galvalume is highly resistant to rust. However, it can experience "edge creep" where the cut edges are exposed, or rust if it is installed in contact with incompatible materials like copper or treated lumber.
3. Can Galvalume be used near the ocean?
Galvalume is excellent for many coastal areas, but it is not recommended for properties within 1,500 feet of breaking salt spray. For severe marine environments, aluminum or stainless steel is preferred.
4. What is the difference between GL and GI steel?
GL (Galvalume) uses an Al-Zn alloy coating, while GI (Galvanized) uses a pure zinc coating. GL has better heat reflectivity and long-term corrosion resistance; GI is often more cost-effective for short-term projects.
5. Is Galvalume steel fireproof?
Yes, Galvalume is a non-combustible material. It typically has a Class A fire rating, making it one of the safest options for roofing and siding.
6. Can I paint Galvalume steel?
Yes. While Galvalume can be used in its "bare" metallic state, it is often pre-painted (color-coated) at the factory. If painting on-site, specific primers for Al-Zn coatings must be used.
