Color Coated Steel PPGI Coil Manufacturing Process
Color coated coil is hot galvanized plate, hot galvanized aluminum zinc plate, galvanized plate and other substrates, the surface pre-treatment (chemical degreasing and chemical conversion treatment), on the surface coated with a layer or several layers of organic coating, and then after baking curing products. Because coated with a variety of different colors of organic paint color steel coil plate named, referred to as color coated coil. The use of hot dip galvanized steel strip as the base material of color coating steel strip in addition to the zinc layer protection, the zinc layer of the organic coating to cover and protect the rust of the steel strip, the service life is longer than galvanized strip, about 1.5 times.

- PPGI Coil Manufacturing Process
1. Zinc-coated steel substrate is uncoiled and welded and then goes through the inlet looper to be cleaned and pretreated continuously.
2. After pre-treatment, a layer of chemical conversion coating is formed on the surface.
3. Coil coating process. The coil coating process is one of the most widely used color coating processes. Generally, we will paint and dry the back and top sides of the base metal twice (namely twice-side twice-coating method). For some special uses, it may be painted and dried three times or once.
4. Cool down the coated steel.
5. After quality testing, the color coating sheet will be rolled into coils for sale.
That's why there are several layers of pre-painted galvanized steel coils, including, base metal, zinc coating (two sides), chemical conversion coating (two sides), primer coating (two sides), and top/back coatings.
