What is cold-rolled DC06?
DC06 is an ultra-low-carbon steel renowned for its exceptional cold-forming capability. Its chemical composition is strictly controlled to ensure the desired mechanical performance. Typically, DC06 contains no more than 0.01% carbon and up to 0.20% manganese, with only trace amounts of phosphorus and sulfur. This low level of alloying elements is a key factor in the material's superior formability and weldability.

The mechanical properties of DC06 are also precisely defined. The grade offers a maximum yield strength of 120 MPa and a tensile strength ranging from 270 to 350 MPa. Additionally, it provides a minimum elongation of 40%, further demonstrating its excellent ability to undergo deep forming operations. These characteristics make DC06 highly suitable for manufacturing complex and highly precise components that require extreme formability, such as deep-drawn automotive body parts and high-performance components used in household appliance production.
Core Applications
The versatility of Cold Rolled Steel DC06 Supreme is demonstrated by its suitability for multiple industries, including:
Fuel Tanks
DC06 combines excellent formability with high mechanical strength, making it highly suitable for fuel tank production. Its corrosion-resistant properties and strong tensile performance enhance both safety and durability in fuel storage systems. The availability of various thickness options also allows manufacturers to optimize tank design based on specific structural requirements.
Automobile Door Inner Panels
Weight reduction without compromising strength is a key priority in modern automotive manufacturing. DC06 meets this need by offering a lightweight yet robust solution for inner door panels. It supports essential characteristics such as acoustic insulation and impact resistance, while also contributing to an improved surface finish and overall design quality.
Oil Bottom Shells
The grade's high mechanical strength and ability to withstand extreme temperature variations make it well suited for forming oil bottom shells. This application demands materials that can resist continuous stress and long-term exposure to oil and lubricants-areas where DC06 performs exceptionally well.
