What is cold-rolled DC06?
DC06 is an ultra-low-carbon cold-rolled steel renowned for its exceptional cold-forming performance. Its chemical composition is strictly controlled to guarantee the desired mechanical behavior. In most cases, DC06 contains no more than 0.01% carbon and up to 0.20% manganese, with only trace amounts of phosphorus and sulfur. This minimal alloying content plays a crucial role in achieving the steel's outstanding formability and weldability.
The mechanical performance of DC06 is equally well defined. The grade offers a maximum yield strength of 120 MPa and a tensile strength range of 270–350 MPa. It also delivers a minimum elongation of 40%, emphasizing its superior ability to undergo demanding forming operations.
