Galvanized coil refers to a steel coil with a layer of zinc on the surface. Galvanizing is a commonly used cost-effective method of preventing rust, and about half of the world's zinc production is used in this process.
1. Mechanical performance indicators
The first is the mechanical properties of hot-dip galvanized products. Mechanical properties can be defined as product properties that can be confirmed through tensile testing, such as yield strength, tensile strength, elongation, n value, r value, etc.
2. Coating performance indicators
The most important performance of hot-dip galvanized products is the coating performance, which mainly refers to the corrosion resistance of the coating and the adhesion performance of the coating. Corrosion resistance includes resistance to salt spray and moisture, and coating adhesion refers to the product's resistance to cracking, peeling, and powdering of the coating during processing.

3. Other performance indicators
No test closely matches actual usage. Other important properties include surface quality, such as the surface quality of automobile exterior panels and home appliance exterior panels. For the automotive industry, surface roughness control of steel plates is also very important. Regarding the definition of surface quality, a few sentences cannot actually explain it completely. The best thing is not to use it directly in different use processes, but to verify it first. There are also some instructions. For example, for alloyed products or ordinary hot-dip galvanized products, there are trimmed and untrimmed edges. The edges of untrimmed strip steel are allowed to have tiny cracks in the zinc layer and white edges.
