Color Coated Steel PPGI Structure

Pre-painted galvanized steel sheet uses zinc-coated steel as substrate. That is to say, it is made of base metal and zinc coatings.

Before coating, it will be cleaned to remove the rust and impurities on the surface. Then it will be coated by a chemical conversion coating. Then several layers of organic coatings are painted. Taking double-sided and twice-baked pre-painted GI sheets for example, it contains base metal, zinc coating, pre-treatment (chemical conversion coating), primer coating, and top/back coating. • PPGI Sheet (Hot-dip galvanized Base)

The product uses a hot-dip galvanized steel sheet as the base metal. In addition to the protection of the zinc layer, the organic coating also protects the metal from rust. So its service life is longer than that of the hot-dip galvanized sheet. The zinc thickness of the hot-dip galvanized substrate for exterior uses can reach up to 275 g/m2. • PPGI Sheet (Electro-galvanized Base)

The electro-galvanized sheet is used as the substrate and then painted with organic coatings. Because the zinc layer of the electro-galvanized sheet is thin. So this product is not suitable for outdoor uses, such as walls, roofs, etc. But because of its beautiful appearance and excellent processing performance, it can be mainly used in home appliances, audio, steel furniture, interior decoration, etc. You can choose according to your use purpose and environment.
