The two important elements of coated panels are zinc, aluminum, and aluminum-zinc, three alloy substances. Zinc is generally represented by Z. Z is the abbreviation of English Zinc. Aluminum-zinc compounds are composed of Z and A added together. Such as AZ150. Galvalume is alloy steel. Among the galvalume compounds, the proportions of aluminum and zinc are: aluminum 55%, zinc 43.5%, and silicon 1.5%. Among the galvalume marks, AZ100 means that the galvanized content is 100 grams per square, AZ70 means that the galvanized content is 70 grams per square, and AZ150 means that the galvanized content is 150 grams per square. The spot materials of galvanized coils on the market generally include: AZ50, AZ70, AZ100, AZ150, AZ180, and AZ200. Among them, AZ50 is generally produced by small domestic steel plants (steel plate foundries). Small steel mills above AZ100 cannot produce, and are generally found in large steel mills, such as Shangxing, Yehui, Baosteel, United, GNEE, etc. In addition, there are relatively few AZ180 and AZ200 products on the market, and the domestic galvanizing technology can reach up to AZ220 grams per square meter.

Since most of the coated plates are thin plates, the thickness is generally no more than 4.0 mm thick, so the coating content is delineated. That is to say, if the coating content is too high, the current domestic coating technology cannot achieve a smooth and beautiful surface (for example, the surface of the Z600 zinc layer is definitely not as beautiful as the Z275 zinc layer). In galvanizing, due to the highest domestic technology, galvanizing can reach 220 grams per square meter, and galvanizing cannot be welded. In order to meet higher material requirements, a steel plate called aluminum-magnesium-zinc was born under market demand. Aluminum-magnesium-zinc steel plates are also aluminum-zinc compounds, but the composition of the coating on the surface of the steel plate coating has changed. Among the coating contents of aluminum-magnesium-zinc steel plates, aluminum accounts for 5-11%, zinc accounts for 84.5%, magnesium accounts for 3%, and silicon accounts for 1.5%. Since the aluminum component is added to zinc, the deficiencies of galvanizing in terms of anti-corrosion and other aspects are enhanced. At the same time, the proportion of zinc components is high, which can achieve 55% aluminum-zinc plating and the coating cannot exceed the limit of AZ220. Aluminum-magnesium-zinc generally has aluminum-zinc layers that can be AZ220, AZ275, etc.
