FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
HOW ARE ALUMINUM ANGLES MADE? WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE 6063 TEMPERS?
How are aluminum angles made?
ANSWER:
Aluminum angles are made through the process of extrusion. 6063 aluminum is considered among the best alloys for extruded aluminum. The aluminum is heated and then pushed through a shaped die. For angles, this die will look like an uppercase L, with a 90 degree angle, and equal thickness on all sides. Once the L-shaped, aluminum angle cools and hardens it can be cut to length.
