Cold Rolled Steel Plate Surface Defects

Oct 26, 2023

Cold rolled steel plate surface defects

(1) Improve the surface flatness of cold-rolled steel plates. After skin smoothing, the flatness of the cold-rolled steel plate is improved to a certain extent, and the corrugation of the cold-rolled steel plate is partially eliminated. For the price of galvanized sheets, tinplate can also flatten slag particles or other uneven spots on the surface to make the surface smooth.

(2) Adjust the surface roughness of cold-rolled steel plates. By controlling the surface roughness of the work roll of the finishing machine, the original uneven roughness on the surface of the cold-rolled steel plate can be unified into a certain range. This improves the product's paintability and lubricity during processing.

(3) Improve the surface color of cold-rolled steel plates. For products with small welding flowers and no welding flowers, cold-rolled steel plates can be smoothed to obtain a more uniform glossy surface. For some private enterprises that use large sequin products as the base material for color coating, the unevenness and different luster of the sequins formed by the crystallization of large sequins can be smoothed and unified to make the sequins blurred, which is beneficial to covering the sequins during painting.

(4) Improve the processing performance of cold-rolled steel plates. Through smoothing treatment, the yield platform of cold-rolled steel plates can be made disappear or inconspicuous, preventing metal slip lines from occurring in subsequent processing.

After the steel is hot-dip galvanized in batches, galvanized sheet factories, galvanized steel sheets, hot-dip galvanized sheets, hot-dip galvanized sheets, cold-rolled steel sheets, galvanized iron sheets, galvanized sheet prices, and white iron sheets can all obtain better corrosion resistance. It can have a life span of ten to several decades when exposed to the atmospheric environment. At the same time, due to the low investment and simple process of batch galvanizing, it can be dip-plated on steel structures of various configurations, sizes and thicknesses, such as transmission towers, street light poles, highway guardrails, microwave towers, etc., so hot-dip galvanizing has become a popular choice for steel parts. One of the most widespread and economical anti-corrosion methods.

However, since the coating surface is not blown off by the air knife during batch galvanizing, the surface of the cold-rolled steel plate is relatively rough. Sometimes small and hard particle protrusions appear on the surface of cold-rolled steel plates, and the coating surface is rough. These particles will seriously damage the surface appearance of the plated parts and affect the market competitiveness of the products.
