Steel gratings, also known as steel grating panels, are open steel components made by orthogonally combining load-bearing flat steel and transverse bars at specific intervals, fixed through welding or locking. The transverse bars are typically made of twisted square steel, but can also be round steel or flat steel. The material is available in carbon steel and stainless steel. Steel gratings are primarily used for steel structure platform panels, trench covers, tread plates for steel stairs, and building ceilings.
Types of Steel Grating
Based on the type of flat steel used, steel grating panels are primarily classified into the following three categories, each with its own characteristics:
1.Flat Type: Flat steel grating panels are the most widely used type of steel grating, primarily used for platforms, walkways, various trench covers, and tread plates.
2.Teeth Type: Compared to flat-type steel grating panels, teeth-type steel grating panels offer better anti-slip performance.
3.I-Beam Type: Compared to flat-type steel grating panels, I-beam-type steel grating panels are lighter in weight and more economical without significantly reducing their load capacity.
