Galvalume-coated steel plate is an alloy-coated steel plate widely used in many fields such as building materials, home appliances, automobiles, environment, machinery, and ships. Galvalume steel plate is covered with aluminum-zinc alloy on the surface of the steel plate. It is composed of 55% aluminum, 43.4% zinc and 1.6% silicon solidified at a high temperature of 600°C. Its entire structure is composed of aluminum-iron-silicon-zinc, forming a dense An alloy-coated steel plate with quaternary crystals.
Relevant applicable standards: ASTM A792/M; JIS G3321; BS EN 10215-1995; GB/T 14978-2008

Galvalume-coated steel sheet has many excellent properties
Corrosion resistance
The corrosion resistance of "galvalume steel coil" is mainly due to the protective function of aluminum. When zinc is worn, aluminum forms a dense layer of aluminum oxide, preventing corrosion-resistant substances from further corroding the interior.
heat resistance
Aluminum-zinc alloy steel plate has good heat resistance and can withstand high temperatures of more than 300 degrees Celsius. It is very similar to the high-temperature oxidation resistance of aluminized steel plates. It is often used in chimney pipes, ovens, luminaires and fluorescent lampshades.
heat reflectivity
The heat reflectivity of galvanized steel sheet is very high, twice that of galvanized steel sheet. People often use it as heat insulation material.
Economy
Because the density of 55% AL-Zn is smaller than that of Zn, when the weight is the same and the thickness of the gold plating layer is the same, the area of the galvanized steel sheet is more than 3% larger than that of the galvanized steel sheet.
Processing performance
The processing performance of galvalume-coated steel sheets is similar to that of hot-dip galvanizing, and it can fully meet the requirements of rolling, stamping, bending and other forms of processing.

Corrosion resistance
The test was conducted on the premise of hot-dip galvanized steel sheets and galvanized steel sheets of the same thickness, coating, and surface treatment. Galvalume has excellent corrosion resistance than hot-dip galvanization, and its service life is 2-6 times that of ordinary galvanized steel sheets.
Light reflection performance
The ability of galvanized zinc to reflect heat and light is twice that of galvanized steel, and its reflectivity is greater than 0.70, which is better than the 0.65 specified by EPA Energy Star.
Heat resistance
Ordinary hot-dip galvanized products usually use a temperature of no more than 230 degrees. They will change color at 250 degrees, while galvanized sheets can be used in an environment of 315 degrees without discoloration for a long time. After being exposed to 300 degrees for 120 hours, the color change of Baosteel's heat-resistant passivation-treated galvalume-zinc steel plates was much lower than that of aluminum plates and aluminized plates.
Mechanical properties
The mechanical properties of galvanized steel sheets are mainly reflected in yield strength, tensile strength, and elongation. Ordinary DC51D grade 150g/square galvanized steel sheet generally has a yield strength between 140-300mpa, a tensile strength between 200-330, and an elongation between 13-25. The yield strength of DC51D+AZ galvanized 150g/square galvanized steel plate is between 230-400mpa, the tensile strength is between 230-550, and the extension rail is between 15-45.
