From the national pig iron, crude steel and steel daily average production, in October the national crude steel daily production showed a significant decline, still maintained the year-on-year growth, but has been slightly lower than the level of the same period in 2019, according to the National Bureau of Statistics data show that in October 2022 the national crude steel daily average production of 2.573 million tons, down 11.2%; pig iron daily average production of 2.285 million tons, down 7.3%; steel production averaged 3.705 million tonnes per day, down 4.3% from the previous year. At the same time, pig iron and steel daily production also showed a simultaneous decline, indicating that due to the lack of demand release and the impact of steel mills again loss, the domestic steel production enterprises capacity release momentum is clearly insufficient.
In November, the domestic steel market is in the traditional off-season alternating time node, although some regions have the release of rush demand, but with the depth of autumn and winter, the effective construction time gradually reduced, the release of terminal demand will also slow down, while steel mills are also facing a double squeeze on the cost side and demand side, steel mill losses are still greater pressure, which also suppressed the release of steel mill capacity. From the current change in blast furnace start-up rate, the steel enterprises production release strength showed a continuous decline in the trend.
