According to the statistics of China Electricity Council, from January to August 2022, the chemical industry used 362.1 billion kWh of electricity, up 4.9%; the building materials industry used 259.7 billion kWh of electricity, down 4.7%; the ferrous metal smelting industry used 409.5 billion kWh of electricity, down 5.6%; the non-ferrous metal smelting industry used 492.7 billion kWh of electricity, up 2.6%. In August, the chemical industry used 45.2 billion kWh of electricity, up 2.7%; the building materials industry used 35.4 billion kWh of electricity, down 6.7%; the ferrous metal smelting industry used 47.4 billion kWh of electricity, down 15.0%; the non-ferrous metal smelting industry used 65.2 billion kWh of electricity, up 7.1%.
